Our History

Together in faith, St. Marcus has steadfastly served its surrounding neighborhoods for more than 135 years. Through hope in the face of poverty and social upheaval, a congregation of 19th century German immigrants became a racially integrated community of believers in the 20th century. As the 21st century unfolds, we continue our ongoing commitment to combating poverty and social injustice through education, outreach and shared community in Christ.
